Dr Jennifer Pallin is a senior postdoctoral researcher at Converge, where she is responsible for the overall co-ordination of the Converge patient and public involvement (PPI) panel.

Jennifer has a Masters in Public Health (MPH) from UCD and a PhD in Public Health and Health Services Research from University College Cork (UCC).

She undertook her PhD at the School of Public Health in UCC having been awarded funding through the Health Research Board Collaborative Doctoral programme “Diabetic Foot Disease: From Prevention to Improved Patient Outcomes”. She was also a scholar with the PhD Scholars Programme in Structured Population Health, Policy and Health Services Research (SPHeRE). Her PhD focused on improving the organisation of care to prevent diabetes-related ulcerations and amputations.

Jennifer is a CORÚ registered podiatrist and prior to her PhD worked as a clinical podiatrist in Ireland’s Health Service Executive providing care to people living with multi-morbidity. Jennifer’s primary research interests focus on understanding diabetes-related complications, particularly those affecting the lower extremities and on improving the delivery of care to prevent diabetes-related complications and improve patient outcomes.
