Senior Postdoctoral Fellow

Dr Jonathan Briody is the lead for the Health and Economic Impact Modelling stream for Converge, and a health economist at the RCSI School of Population Health. His research interest is in modelling the cost-effectiveness of intervention in nationally influential chronic diseases. At RCSI, he conducted an economic evaluation of the cost-effectiveness of precision medicine for metastatic colorectal cancer (mCRC) and, as a visiting scientist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), he has adapted a microsimulation model from the national public health agency of the United States to estimate the long-term health and economic impact of diabetes in Ireland and the cost-effectiveness of approaches to manage and prevent this chronic condition. He has previously worked with the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA) and the School of Public Health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science at UCD.
