Research Assistant

Kevin McIntyre is a Research Assistant with Converge.

Prior to coming to RCSI, he conducted his doctoral research at the University of Western Ontario (Canada) in Epidemiology and Biostatistics focusing on Global Surgery. His research has focused on examining trends in perioperative mortality, developing new methods to estimate the global incidence of perioperative mortality, understanding the associations between macro-level factors and surgical mortality and examination of the failure-to-rescue pathway.

Methodologically, his interests have included advanced meta-analytic techniques, microsimulation methods, Bayesian inference and causal inference techniques. He is also interested in knowledge translation, particularly translating epidemiologic methods to clinical experts to improve clinical research.
